XIV International Symposium
on Inorganic Biochemistry
Science must go on!

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We would like to invite you to participate in the “XIV International Symposium on Inorganic Biochemistry”, organized between 5th and 8th September 2018.

In the past 33 years, the previous twelve symposia organised by Henryk Kozlowski have been a great success, bringing together top researchers from around the world, focusing on hotspots of current research in cross-cutting fields of inorganic, coordination and bioinorganic chemistry with biology and medicine, in particular discussing topics such as chemical structure and thermodynamics, solution equilibria and coordination chemistry of metals with biomolecules, transport, homeostasis and toxicity of metals in diseases; metal-based therapy and diagnostics, proteomics and metabolomics.

As usual, the conference aims to provide a valuable discussion forum on recent advances on the above mentioned areas; fostering new collaborations among researchers with complementary skills and goals is of great importance.

In addition to lectures covering a wide range of topics, a poster session will take place. Both the poster session and the relatively free evenings will facilitate more informal discussions, often between the very experienced and the novice ‘Henryk conference’ attendees.

Henryk, although retired, is still the heart and soul of the event. He says that ‘Science Must Go On’.

We really hope to see you there,

The detailed information on the abstract (format, margins, size, etc.) is provided in a downloadable abstract template. Abstract submission deadline: July 31st 2018. For oral presentations: July 17th 2018.

Oral presentation guidelines

The durations of the oral presentations presented at the symposium are:
• Plenary lectures (PL) – 40 min
• Keynote lectures (KN) – 30 min
• Invited lectures (IL) – 20 min
• Oral communications (OC) – 15 min

Please note that the time already includes a 5 min discussion. We kindly ask the presenters to keep their talks strictly within the scheduled timetable. The organizing committee will provide the audio visual facilities with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint 2003 to 2010) software. If any specific facility should be required, please contact the organization in advance. Files with oral presentations should be given to the organizers as early as possible, latest before the first lecture on the day of the talk.

Poster presentation guidelines

The maximum posters size should be A0 (841 × 1189 mm or 33.11 × 46.81 in) in portrait orientation.
We encourage all presenting authors to put a picture of themselves in the upper corner of the poster – the quick identification of the author will allow even  more scientific discussion.
The organization will provide tools for installing posters.
